Last year we stained a new redwood deck after the correct amount of seasoning time plus cleaning and brightening.
Now we have cleaned and power washed and brightened the deck re RAD directions and are applying a second coat. It seems like we stripped off more than we would have liked and even though the surface is definitely accepting the stain well, it feels like we over did it on the prep. We used a power washer after the cleaner, can we use a lighter touch with the power washer? We also used full strength on the cleaner, so maybe go with the lighter solution next time? Or maybe full strength on the cleaner and a lighter touch with the power washer? thanks we love the product and look forward to enjoying this deck for many years!

100 Series as it is a penetrating stain. The 300 is a filming coating and is not suggested for your wood surface.
I need to figure out if I need to use the Gemini cleaner or brightened for my freshly powerwashed tiger weed deck. It has only has IPE oil applied last year, which faded to grey with months, so I think I am ready to apply TWP 1500 (MD resident) but will take time to brighten if it’s really necessary. I also want to know the recommended application method for the TWP 1500. Can I just use a wide stiff brush on a pole?
