Hit this with the stripper. Is it ready to brighten and varnish?
That looks good.
can apply this product using a pump sprayer?
No, it is too thick. Best to roll it on.
I have a 10 year old deck that has solid stain on it. I am planning to use RAD on it to get all the remaining solid stain off. Two questions:
1- do I need to use a cleaner brightner after using RAD?
2- what stain series would be best, 109, 1500 or semi ?
Thanks
1. Yes.
2. 1500 series.
I used RAD wood stripper and power washed the deck. Do I need to apply anything else before staining? Which satin product would you recommend?
Hi,
You still have some old stain that needs to come off near the house. Before staining, see this about new wood:
https://www.twpstainhelp.com/prepping-new-wood-for-twp-stains/
Would this need R-A-D or Restore-a-deck Stain Stripper?
That’s a solid stain. Use the RAD PaintStrip.
How long does it take for the RAD stain Remover to take off 2 to 3 layers of solid deck paint. Can I leave it on for 12 hours, won’t it dry out? Or should I reapply after minitial layer come off. Thanks, Lisa
1+ hours. You can test if it is working fully down to the bare wood with some mild scraping prior to pressure washing off. You can leave it on for up to 24 hours.
