Additive for Restore-A-Deck Stripper – Boosts up to 300%
Restore-A-Deck Stain Stripper Booster
Restore-A-Deck Stain Stripper Booster Additive is a special blend of solvents that is added to premixed 5-Gallons of the Restore-A-Deck Stain Stripper. The Restore-A-Deck Stripper Booster will raise the effectiveness of the stain stripping up to 300% by helping to break down the surface tension of difficult to remove wood stain finishes.
This product works as a Booster additive for the Restore-A-Deck Stain Stripper and is not effective as a standalone product.
Note: For even better results, use the Restore-A-Deck Stain Stripper Thickening Gel in conjunction with the Restore-A-Deck Stripper Booster. The Thickening Gel adds the ability to cling to vertical and horizontal surfaces for up to 1 hour.
Where to Use Restore-A-Deck Stripper Booster
Restore-A-Deck Booster should be used to increased effectiveness in stripping difficult to remove wood and deck stain coatings. Stripper Booster improves effectiveness on removal for most exterior wood and deck finishes including:
- Acrylic-based wood and deck coatings
- Oil-based wood and deck coatings
- Clear wood and deck sealers
- Transparent wood and deck stains
- Semi-transparent wood and deck stains
- Semi-solid exterior wood and deck stains.
SURFACE PREPARATION:
Surfaces to be stripped must be above 50°F. Protect adjacent surfaces; cover with plastic sheets and/or tape off any adjacent areas not being stripped. Thoroughly wet and/or cover plants and shrubs. Rinsing residue will not harm plants or roots. Exposure to full strength product will burn foliage.
The Restore-A-Deck Wood and Deck Stain Stripper/BoosterAdditive needs to be neutralized with the Step 2 Wood Brightener.
*Will not remove excessively over applied stains, solid color stains, paints, or polyurethanes fully.
Trying to determine if we me this RAD combo kit, (and if so, do we need the additives), or would the SafeStrip do the job? Assuming we shouldn’t need the RAD heavy duty stuff. Any thoughts, please?
Use the regular RAD Stain stripper with the thickening gel to remove this from the fence. Brighten after.
How would I know I need this product without already attempting to strip my deck?
Post some pics of the deck.
Here are some photos. Note condition of underside of deck vs top.
For the top floor and rails, use the Restore A Deck Stripper only. No need to use the Booster. Brighen after.
Just pressure wash the underside to remove dirt and algae. No need to stain there.
From Customer – Cheryl Conway Mazza
So I took your advice and ordered the RAD stripper, gel and booster. I have to say I was not overly optimistic but thought I have to get this crap off my deck, what did I have to lose? I cannot believe the difference!! We are stripping the deck in stages and it is truly a messy job BUT as you can see by the pic, there is hope!!! I was prepared to paint the entire thing because I did not think we would get the Behr not-so-semi-transparent crap off. Thank you so much for your help, advice and most of all for carrying a product that works. Now I feel comfortable ordering your semi-transparent stain.
The additive will make the stripper more effective on stripping difficult coatings,
