I have old type composite deck. I’ve cleaned and need to seal or stain/seal. What product do you recommend and what is warranty on length of time before needing to reapply in years please. Also if semi-solid pro series is recommended can you order samples of this? Phone colors usually not the same as real life. Thank you!
Only the semi-solid colors can be used on old composite decking. It has to be the old very porous composite for it to work. Clean and recoat every 2-3 years. Samples are here: https://www.twpstain.com/stain-samples

How do you receive credit for sample when order 5 gal.
Probably but mix well first to make sure no clumping or skinning of the material.

My deck cedar deck is about 23 years old. Is your semi solid the proper product to do the job. Also which color would be close to the pecan in your 1500. Does semi solid require wet on wet coats
Can TWP Semi-Solid be applied on, VERTICAL, Cedar (so not a deck, a screened-in porch) that has been previously sealed with Clear TWP with good adhesion, etc.?
I am in Illinois which you say will not allow the 100 series stains. I am looking to purchase the 1500 semi-solid stain in Cedar Mulch color. Let me know when that color is available.
The 1500 series does not come in semi solid colors, only the stock semi transparent colors. You cannot get the 100 series or any of the semi solid colors in IL. You can use the 1500 series in Pecan for IL.

We had an unusual freeze in TX recently. Will my unopened 5 gl. of Pro Series be useable? I completely forgot to bring it indoors.

The semi-solids would give longer UV protection. There is not a matching color to Pecan. You can test samples: https://www.twpstain.com/stain-samples
I want a brown that doesn’t have alot of red or yellow hue
Best to test the samples as colors will always vary based on your wood type and age.
