5 Direct sun all morning until 4-5 pm. South side of the house. We are in Michigan. I need something that will hold up to the harsh winters that preserves my deck and also stops the mold and rotting issues. Deck is 7feet off the ground too.

100 is allowed in AZ but not in the Phoenix area so you should be fine. Please read this about new wood:

We spend our summers in Flagstaff, Az (area code 86001) elevation 7000 ft. I just built a 488 sq ft 2×6, douglas fir deck and want to use TWP series 100 stain. Can this product be shipped to this area or will I have to use the 1500 series? I prefer the 100 series due to its history, quality rating and dry time.

I’m considering using your TWP 100 for a new redwood deck in Colorado. We get intense sun in the summer (90+ degrees) then occasionally drenching rain. Winters are very dry with a good bit of snow. Is this the best choice for redwood in this type of environment? How long should I wait before applying to new redwood?

You can use the Gemini Restore Kit ant half concentration or about 4 oz per gallon of water. Lightly agitate with soft push broom and rinse.
I used the TWP 100 series stain on my deck last June and I am going to apply another coat this year. My question: What should I use to clean my deck before I apply another coat? It still looks great but I just want to get some of the “winter wear” off before another coat. Recommendations? Thanks.

Hard to ay but it could potentially be an issue. It may dry slow and leave some shiny spots. It would be better to leave alone and apply a light coat in late Fall or early Spring.

Strip off the remaining Cabot and use the wood brightener when done. Stain with the TWP 100 is allowed in your state or the 1500 if not.
I have a treated lumber deck that is eight years old. The wood has slight cracking but otherwise it is in good shape. Most of the previous Cabot stain is worn off. I live in Northern Wisconsin so the deck is exposed to full sun and freeze thaw cycles.

Please strip or sand off the CWF first. Brighten the wood when done. Use the 100 if allowed in your stater otherwise the 1500.
I have a 15 yr old pressure treated deck and want to use TWP 100 with a stain that looks like natural light oal. It has been pressured washed. You said to apply wet on wet, how much time between applications? Can I purchased this in our area 20708?

If using the same color of TWP than you should be good to proceed with the staining.
I have a 17 yr old Cedar deck with some boards only 6 months old. I have power washed it this Sunday 5-18-14. The deck boards are 90% bare wood and vertical surfaces are 10%-80% bare wood. It has had a few coats of TWP 100 in the past. The deck in 9 ft in the air with a concrete patio below.
What else should I do to pre-treat it?

We do not custom mix them but you can on your end with no issues.

2 years is normal for a pool deck. Use the TWP 1500 for this. 3-4 gallons for 2 coats.
I have a 260 sq ft cedar fence (sq ft total for both sides) that was installed last September. I’m in Michigan- which stain would you recommend ? 100 or 1500. I’m thinking I need the Gemini kit to prep & want to use Dark Oak color. Thoughts? How many gallons? Thanks in advance.
We received our color samples yesterday after playing around with them we found we like the look of the honeytone and rustic combined, is this something you can do before shipping to us? We will be ordering 3-4 5 gallon pails.

I would not use a rag but a stain pad for application.

You should be okay now. Prep with Gemini Kit and just one coat of TWP for the first time.

I would prefer that the cedar stays a natural color. I know some cedar tone stains turn more of a yellow/orange color. Is that the case with TWP 100? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
cori, you can use the 100 Series for both. Maybe Honeytone for cedar and Dark Oak for posts.
We have a new cedar wood fence (completed aprox. a month ago) with green treated posts that are off set from the cedar pickets. I believe it is recommended we use TWP 100 for the cedar can we use the same for the posts? We would like to do the cedar a lighter ‘natural’ color and the posts a darker brown color, what colors would you recommend for this? We live near Lexington Kentucky (central part of the state)

After stripping apply brightener right away. Let dry for 48 hours before applying. Stay off for 24 hours after stain.

Yes on the one coat. Try wiping down the shiny spots with some paint thinner to remove the excess stain that has not absorbed into the wood.

We’re thinking he went a little heavy on the staining because we have some areas that remained shiny after drying. Also, we have some ruins on the upper pergola header and was wondering if this can be fixed somehow. Also, any suggestions on the shiny spots? He only applied one coat…is that sufficient?

Yes two light coats wet on wet application. About 6-8 gallons for this.
