Use the 100 Series. About 10 gallons for two coats when applied wet on wet. More if you have railings, stairs, etc.

Need to remove the old stain. Use the Restore A Deck stripper with the pressure washing. Use the Restore A Deck Brightener after. Use the TWP 100 Series.

Use the TWP 100 Series. Prep withe Gemini Restore Kit and pressure washing. Apply two coats of the TWP.
cedar siding, at least 10 years old, never treated. high moisture – pacific northwest rain forest wind driven rain and prone to moss build up but 3 sides in full sun when we have it. will soak up gobs of stain/preservative and we can’t afford to do this again for many years. Which type do you recommend?

If you used the 500 Series before then you would want to use the 1500 Series. It is the improved version of the 500 Series. There is not a Gold color. There is a Honeytone and Natural color.
I think someone used TWP semitransparent product 500? on our deck in 2012. I need to redo it and wondered what is the difference between the TWP 100 and 1500? Is there a tint? I think ours was gold.

We have built a 800 square foot Cedar deck and railings with no steps. The wood is new and untreated. Now stain has ever been applied. We are 1 week after construction in North Idaho mountains. Need info on best practices for prep and application of Stain – semi transparent Cedar color.

Can you tell me what the difference is between 100 and 1500 series? I am looking to stain my deck and I am not happy with what I used last year.
Hello, I have had a new deck built this February 14 x 28. redwood. my builder used an angle grinder to even up places where the wood was not level. i plan on staining the desk this may. i am wondering if I should sand the deck with a belt sander to even out the marks the angle grinder has left before i stain it. Lightly wash with soapy water to remove dirt for prep. Warm water with dish soap will work. You do not want to use too much pressure or too harsh a cleaner that would remove the coating from last year.

TWP can be cleaned and reapplied as needed down the road. Prep with the Gemini Restore Kit and apply 2 light coats “wet on wet”:

New PT lumber almost a year old waiting on it to dry good looking for a stain and leaning at TWP100 redwood.My question is looking at ready seal, bakers gray wood andTWP100 does your product have to be stripped after 2/3 years or can you properly clean it and recoat. we are old people and can maintain what we have but dont wont to get into stripping. From what I can read your product holds its color better than the other above mentioned.On your reply give me advice on the best way to clean this lumber and put down TWP100.Any help would be appreciated. Sorry, but TWP 100 Series if not legal for PA and you cannot apply it over the 1500 Series.

How much did you use last time? If doing a light maintenance coat you should use about 60% of what you used the first time.

Hello, for the prep you will need to remove the old stain first suing the Restore A Deck stripper and pressure washing. Once removed you would need to brighten the wood with the RAD Wood Brightener. TWP 100 should be applied wet on wet. Typically the railings only need one coat but the horizontals should get two.

Either color is fine. Honeytone being the lightest will fade a little faster. Prep well first with the Gemini Restore Kit and light pressure washing or heavy scrubbing.

Yes you should lightly clean again. TWP cannot be applied to damp or wet wood.

We would suggest leaving alone for the year. Next Spring you can lightly clean to remove any dirt and apply another coat then. As for the color on the ramp, the TWP enhances the grain of your wood so there must have been some blue or green tint in the new wood. Hello,
You have to remove all of the previous stain if you want to use the TWP. How to do this will depend on the brand and type that the old stain is. If you do remove the old stain then yes you can use an airless to apply. We would need the total sq. footage for the amount of TWP needed.

Use both the cleaner and brightener for the prep. Not sure of the stain is still good. Probably not as the shelf life is less them 12 months after opening. No you cannot over apply TWP. After the prep you can apply 1 or 2 coats depending on the porosity of the wood.
I am about to apply a 2nd & 3rd coat of TWP stain on my deck. The 1st coat was applied 2 years ago & is looking really thin. First, I’ll be using the remainder of a 5 gallon can from 2 yrs ago. Is it still good? Second, I seem to remember that you don’t have to use a brightened on reapplications. Can I buy just the cleaner?
