I’m refinishing a pine? Deck that I used 100 on about two years ago. My vendor suggests that I sand the deck back to fresh wood before refinishing. That seems excessive to me.
your instructions on this site call for stripping the wood. What do you mean by that?
thanks,

Type of wood? Garapa
Condition of the wood? Recently planed surfaces
Has it been stained previously and if so with what brand of stain? No
Small description of the area to be treated. We are installing garapa boards on the face of our exterior entryway and I want to stain it darker. Contractor hasn’t used this wood species much and looking for the best stain to use. Want to see the beautiful wood grain, have a darker/more brown tone color and have a matte, but durable, finish. Found this image of a garapa deck and love it.

Can I use teak oil over TWP 100
No, you cannot top coat over TWP. It will peel if you do this.
1) 40 years old
2) T1-11-douglas fir
3) Siding-very good
4) Linseed oil with color
5) Small lake side cabin

Stained my new deck last year with 120. So I do a second coat this year and what prep do I need to do before hand?
Use the Gemini Restore kit.
I stained my new cedar deck & fence last summer after letting the wood season for about 8 months. I used the cleaner & brightener that you sell with your combo kits. We used transparent stain. We need to re-do it badly this summer as the stain is flaking off in several areas & has a ton of mold/mildew that will not come off with pressure washing. I am wondering if I need to strip then brighten this year if we plan to change to a semi-transparent stain. Here are pictures so you can see the issues. The first one actually shows where we pressure washed on the left compared to the right. The other shows where the stain has come off in spots. Any idea why it didn’t hold up in one Pacific NW wet season?
We would suggest stripping and brightening to get it even. It will be easy. Transparent stains will always fade faster then semi-transparent stains.
Which color of semi-transparent stain would cover best & look most like the original cedar when it’s wet?
Honeytone.
So there’s no need to do RAD guard for the mold/mildew? What will help prevent it in the future?
Yes, that will help to prevent the mold.
Please tell me the sequence of steps then & how long to wait in between each one
Strip and brighten with this:

Stain after 48 hours with the TWP. After that is fully dry, you can apply RAD Guard.
I’m looking for the safest TWP stain to put on a boat dock. The wood will have to be refreshed and then stained. Most of the boards are original on this 20 year old dock. The dock gets full sun and sits over fresh water.
Look at the TWP Semi-solid Low VOC stain: https://www.twpstain.com/twp-semi-solid-pro-series
Pergola stained with TWP 1500 black walnut about 5 years ago on New pt wood properly prepared. Need aboutcm 3 gal. Should we use 100 or 1500 in North Carolina?
Easiest to stay with the same series and color as prior. If you want to switch series or color, then strip and brighten for prep.
Thank you.
Where can I find an MSDS sheet for the 100 Pro-Series?
Attached.
Can TWP100 be shipped to Canada?
No, it cannot. We can ship the 200 Series or the Low-VOC semi-solid colors.
