You could but it would need to be a very light coat.
Should I just go over it one more time if discoloration happens after being rained on?
Well, started staining my pergola and lattice. 0% chance of rain. HAHAHA! Rained I was staining 12-5 PM, it started raining at 5:30 PM! Thankfully I have not gotten to the deck itself so if there is any damage it may not be that visible. What do you think will happen to my stained pergola and lattice on it that I did stain and it got rained on?
Hard to say. Might be fine. See how it dries. If it dries evenly without any visible issues you should be fine.

Ekaterina, for NC you can use the 1500 Series. As for coverage amounts, we would need a total sq. footage to give you an idea. Sample can be bought from our website. Links are in the right column or in the main menu at the top:

We are rebuilding a porch in an old farmhouse in upstate New York. The carpenter has just installed a fir tongue and groove flooring and today he is building the steps that will have sides and decorative spindles like in victorian houses. He has asked me to buy good quality oil base deck paint or stain. We plan to leave the steps and flooring some darker wood color and the side of the steps and all decorative molding in solid white. Please advice best products to use. We are looking for products that will last and stand well to traffic and rockers. Please also advice on where to buy these products as soon as possible. WE have been having some showers lately so please also advice on best conditions to apply the products and best preparation of the surfaces. Thank you.
