We are thrilled with our TWP Cape Cod Grey 105 deck stain. Since there is only one color of gray from which to choose, we were unsure whether the Cape Cod would match our home and the deck rail. PERFECT! The shade is lighter than we anticipated, but we love it! This was the first stain application to our Pressure Treated Wood deck in Alabama. We are hoping the stain will tolerate cleanings and greatly hinder the mold and mildew growth here on the lakeside. The stain applies sooo smoothly, and the wet-on-wet method works perfectly. I am hoping we have not “overdone” the stain, and the semi-opaque is perfect! We are well pleased with the grain that is showing through. We are also hoping two years from now the stain will have been durable in protection of our deck. It is difficult to contain our excitement as we have been slowly prepping the deck Spring/Summer … and now Autumn is here. Thank you, TWP, for such a product! We researched intermittently for over a year and could not come up with reviews of another product to match yours. TWP was our selection, as is visible. We sum our thoughts with, “Loving It.”

Hi. We built our house in 2004. I can’t remember the name of the stain that he used but I remember that it had 3 letters and he said that it was a 3 step process on our rough sewn cedar. I definitely feel that it outlasted several other cedar houses I have seen over the years. We embarrassingly are just now getting around to restaining. I am trying to decide between twp 100 or 1500 ir Rymar. I need color but I would like it to still look like wood. Help…Not sure how to attach pics to this.

Hi, I used TWP 1500 series 1515 Honeytone Stain on my rough sewn white pine cabin. Perfect and easy to use.

During the Stay At Home mandate this past March, my wife and I tackled renovating our back deck. We recently bought our home, which was neglected for 2.5 years. The back deck had been used as storage for the previous owner.

Over the course of 10 days we: took down old railing, power-washed the 20 year old 980 sq. ft deck, sanded with walk behind orbital sander, power-washed again, applied TWP 1500 Stain, and installed new cable railing. This was all done by ourselves; no contractors or other installers involved. We had 2 evaluations on the existing decking and had it determined to be sufficient for revitalization.

Products Used:
– Restore-A-Deck Stripper/ Cleaner
– Restore-A-Deck Brightener
– TWP 1503 Dark Oak

A few years ago we finally decided to add a Deck to the back of our home. We waited a year before staining to let the wood season. We purchase a Brand Name Stain?Sealer from a Big Box Store. After a a year the stain started to flake off. Last summer I applied (2) coats and got less than desirable blotchy results. My Son re did his deck and told me about TWP so I did a little research and liked what I read. I rented a big pad sander first and then I applied the following Products.
*Restore A Deck Stripper
*Restore A Deck Neutralizer/Brightener
*TWP 1501 Cedartone Stain
We applied (2) coats of the Stain. The way it soaks in and penetrates the wood is fantastic. The results are great and the finish is very rich looking. We are totally satisfied.
Here are the starting and finished product pictures.

Using TWP stain 1520 in Pecan my our home went from boring to fabulous. Rough cut board and baton was used to side our home but the pecan stain is what sets it apart. We have had so many compliments on our home. TWP stain made it easy.

Hi All, working on a backyard makeover project in Texas. We had just stained our 20 yr old fence last night before this post. We used the TWP 100 in Pecan. The results were stunning immediately transforming our backyard to something fresh! Included are some before and after shots. From a unwanted lawn to a putting green with Bench. Flagstones to complement the stain. We power washed the wood prior to staining but our backyard is still in progress. But happy to share the initial results. Enjoy!

My parents bought a house that had this huge deck with old splintering pressure treated pine. One day 10 years ago I got horrible splinters In my foot walking on it ( it was all laid so that you walked with the grain with tons of butt joints) I ripped up all the decking, replaced the rails with benches and other rails of my design with a “window” at eye level while seated so you don’t feel like you’re behind prison bars, 6×6 posts, 2×8 cap rails for setting flowers on, angled and herringbone decking (so that you almost never walk with the grain) replaced the whole pool deck with built in flower boxes, added a staircase and shored up the structure with new pressure treated pine . 1500sq ft! It was a huge job.

I was a novice and asked everyone I could about staining and sealing and I decided on Penofin but I was
told anything about proper moisture content for application. So it turned black and was horrible. Later someone stained it with Ben Moore arbor coat which failed.
so the deck spent most of the past 10 years untreated and unloved.

Enter TWP which came well rated. I used the Gemini cleaner, pressure washed, then brightener to astonishing results (I experimented with store bought options which I found to be suboptimal) And stained with 1500 series Rustic (1516). Another huge job, it sucked up 20 gallons!

We couldn’t be happier with the results. It’s almost like new and the rich color makes the wood appear to be a vastly more expensive material. I will surely use it again when it’s time.

This is our new house with cypress 12×12 posts and a header. We let the posts sit unfinished for about a year, then pressure washed and sanded them. Per the recommendation of the mill we used, we purchased TPW 100 series and used Dark Oak. Below are before and after pictures of our project. We couldn’t be happier with the new look on the front of our home.

Our treated wood deck was collecting mildew in some areas so we decided to stain it. We power-washed the deck and then applied two coats of TWP 100 Series Pecan stain using the wet-on-wet method. We liked it so much, we decided to use the stain on our custom-made cedar benches.

We have old growth California redwood siding on our house. We decided to restore the redwood siding to it’s original condition. We first used stripper, cleaner and brightener to remove the old stain. We then used the wet-on-wet application method to apply two coats of the TWP Series 1500 California Redwood stain. We love how it turned out.

My first ever staining project: A playset for our kids. Originally purchased used and well worn with peeling paint. Decided on TWP after many reviews which included the water resistance, the finish and the quick drying feature.

To prep: Light power wash, then sanded and staind the wood. stained with TWP 1500 Series Color Rustic 1516, with 2 coats.

This playset turned out beautiful, looks brand new! The stain sealed the wood perfectly! Was quick drying and no strong odor. Will be planning to stain the fence and deck next with TWP!

The decks are about 5 years old and never treated so after power washing and sanding we used one packet Restore-a-deck brighten and throughly rinsed. After several days drying we applied TWP 100 series in Cape Cod gray, wet on wet application. The look is so fresh and stylish.

We built our house 7 years ago near Pensacola, Florida on the Santa Rosa Sound. We used TWP 1500 series stain in the color cedar tone on the three attached decks and their wood ceilings. The color and wear is fabulous.

My husband has applied the cleaner, brightener and stain twice now. About every three years. It was a Covid-19 quarantine summer project this year. My before photos are very similar to the after because the stain wears so well and just fades a bit. These decks take a beating from the Gulf Coast sun and salt breezes. In fact, the last photo was taken September 16 the day hurricane Sally was going by our house! Decks and ceilings are beautiful. Impressive stain!

About 3 years ago we had beautiful cedar deck built. Living in South Texas, the deck gets not only full days of brutal sun but also heavy downpours. We originally used a different product, one that actually came highly recommended. Needless to say, we found ourselves reapplying it every 6 months and it still didn’t perform as expected. Not only was that costly, but it was a pain in the butt. After a lot of research I found that TWP100 series had great reviews as far as both UV and water protection. I was honestly skeptical because the first product we used was so highly recommended. We went with the Cedar Tone. I removed the old stain and cleaned the deck with a power washer, I then sanded the deck. I removed the boards from the bar top, sanded, stained, then put them back. The TWP was easy to apply and the color was beautiful!!! But I still wasn’t sold. Would the color hold up through a summer of sun and rain?? The answer was YES! Still looks amazing! I’m limited in the number of pics so I didn’t include the entire deck. The pics are of the bar area. TWP exceeded my expectations and continues to!!

I have 30-year old decks which I recently finished sanding this summer!! (There was a black growth spreading which gave me no other choice.) I used the Gemini Restore-A-Deck Kit w/Cleaner and Brightener. The stain I chose was TWP 1500- Honeytone 1515 Stain. Front deck finished, did 2 coats; awaiting another day of sunshine to complete rear deck.

We finally found the perfect house, but the 20 year old western red cedar exterior was in desperate need of staining. It was various dull shades of red, brown and gray all over and looked excessively dried out. We found partial cans of three different stain products, each a different color in the storage building. That explained why the house color was so splotchy and uneven (kind of like camouflage). I don’t think it had ever been cleaned, just stains randomly applied over the years. We thought it would be best to use a solid stain to help even the color. We started pressure washing and had most of it cleaned by fall of 2019, but the weather grew too rainy and cold for us to finish and stain that year.
Fast forward to 2020… determined to “get er done” we again pressure washed, this time we used Restore Pre-Cleaner taking even more layers of gunk and crud off. We decided it looked so good that we could use a semi-transparent stain allowing the wood grain to show. After hours of internet research for the best product, we decided to use TWP 100 Semi-Transparent Stain in Rustic. It was rated very highly and had been around for over 20 years. We followed the wet on wet instructions and it looks AMAZING! We never dreamed the wood could look this good. It no longer looks all dried out and uneven. The color is more uniform and it looks much newer. It also repels water like crazy! We have gotten so many compliments from our family and neighbors. We already have two future projects lined up – our back deck and the cedar fence around the house. We will definitely be using TWP stain for these projects. Thanks for such an awesome product!

We had a fence, deck, and garbage bin area replaced 3 years ago, but we never got around to staining them as the cost from a professional was quoted at $4,200. Therefore, we found https://www.twpstain.com/ and decided to do it ourselves as what else were we to do during covid-19 lock down. Yes it was hard work, but it was worth the savings. We ordered Restore-A-Deck Wood Cleaner & Brightener, 20 gallons of Stain – Color Black Walnut 1504, Crack and Groove Tool, Wooster Brush, and Deck Scrub Brush from https://www.twpstain.com/

My wife and I bought our house a few years ago. I got a quote in June to replace the decking to Trex, but was far too expensive for what we were looking for right now. I started researching products on the market and yours far surpassed any others and came highly recommended by the owner of the construction company I work for. I started the rehabilitation process on June 20th , 2020 and over 350 hours were spent rehabbing this deck. Four layers of paint were removed on the entire deck and a few areas of decking and railing needed to be replaced due to damage and rot. The TWP Stain was applied on September 13th, 2020. I utilized TWP 1504 – Black Walnut on the support posts, stair railings, stair treads, deck surface, and top rails. I’m very glad that I chose a superior product and will not have to spend any hours in the next few years working on my deck. Thanks TWP. Looking forward to trying the restore process in a few years whenever the stain needs bringing back to life.

Stained a neglected, 30 year old cedar siding home with TWP200 series stain; a custom blend of Butternut and Red Wood. Researched stains for 6 months before choosing TWP and absolutely thrilled with the results. Prior to staining, had house professionally power washed due to excessive mold and mildew. Thanks TWP!

My refurbishing project this summer was stripping and staining our 2200s.f. wrap-around deck and railing. It had been more than 18 years since it was installed. We took advantage of buying the TWP Dark Oak (103) stain with the RAD Stripper and RAD Brightner Neutralizer. We also purchased the RAD Thickner Additive and RAD Booster Stripper Additive for our vertical wood struts on the hand railing. TWP worked great as advertised. All in all, TWP made a daunting project easy. The proof is in the pictures, transforming a tired old deck and making it into a gorgeous, like-new deck.

Our deck is 31 years old-but we have replaced the deck boards several years ago. We used the Gemini Cleaner and Brightener kit and then stained with TWP 1500 Series Black Walnut 1504. The deck cleaned up great. It has been stained numerous times in the past with other stains that we have not been happy with. This stain turned out great. We have done both an upper deck and a lower deck, all of the handrails and spindles, and arbor on end of upper deck. Love the color.
Also used the Bug Juice and the Crack and Groove Tool 6 inch- which was a big help!

…then stained the deck floor with TWP100 series in Cape Cod Grey (with the darker Grey accents on the railing being oil based paint). The Railing and Sun room we used Twp 1500 series in Rustic. Note that the deck and railing are pressure treated pine while the sun room siding is untreated pine with untreated poplar wood trim.
