Hello, It has to be tinted if you want UV protection and having a tint will enhance or change the look of the wood from the natural state. We would suggest getting some samples to test the color:

The TWP 100 is allowed in your state. The 100 or 1500 would be best for MO.

I am sorry but the 100 Series is not allowed there and the TWP 1500 does not come in a gray color.
I have a 22 year old pressure treated Deck in buffalo NY. I strippped, sanded and brightened. I want a grey color stain. TWP 100 has Cape Cod Grey. But 1500 doesn’t. I wanted to send for a sample of it but want to know if I will be able to get the grey 105 in New York. Thanks.

You need both the cleaner and the brightener for the prep. Use the Gemini Restore Kit. Apply 1 coat, then the second withing 20-60 minutes. Since it has been 3 years, it will probably need it.
Im planning to do a maintenance restaining of my 900 sf dock which I stained w twp100 3 yrs ago. Still looks ok but starting to fade. FYI, the TWP 100 is not allowed in NY. The 100 Series a less solids and will penetrate a little better into the wood grain. It also dries a little faster. The 1500 has more solids than the 100 series and will give slightly better UV protection because of this. Overall, they are very close in performance if prepped correctly and applied correctly.

Use the TWP 1500 Series. Make sure to prep well beofre applying.
My ski cabin has for siding both cedar shingles and horizontal cedar planks..about 50% each. Prior coating has been Preserva Wood-Penetrating Oil Stain and Sealer. Between 1500 and 200, which will give me a like result as with the Preserva Wood product. I ask because my painter recommends TWP. Roof not in question as it is metal.

If only one new board is being replaced, then go ahead and apply the TWP after the prep. Old wood will get two coats applied wet on wet. Only one coat on the new board. The new board will need another coat next year. Apply the second coat within 20-60 minutes of the first coat.

TWP stains are semi-transparent. They cannot be applied over a solid stain.

I’ve tried everything to strip it and though it is thin and worn in areas, especially on the floor, steps and top of railing and flaking in places I CAN NOT get the old stain/paint off. Pecan or Dark Oak. Make sure to clean and brighten with the Gemini Restore Kit for the prep.

You would want the TWP 100 in clear. Protects but grays naturally.

I replaced western red cedar boat dock panels (4′ x 4′) this past spring. They are in Minnesota, full sun, and get wet some times from waves. The last set lasted only 8 years before the ends started to rot/deteriorate.
I would prefer that they age to a gray color over time am not concerned about maintaining a color (would prefer to use natural/clear) and would plan to just treat them one time in an effort to gain 5yrs+- of life.

Hello, you cannot add a clear coat over the TWP, nor would that make it last longer.

Should be if stored properly. Open and mix well. If stain is consistence without clumps or jellying, you are good to use.

I just build a new deck about 5 months ago using pressure treated pine. I am leaning towards the natural 1530 color, but curious if it would be close to the same color as now or darken it up some while still allowing the wood grains to show through.
