Looking for vendors that carry TWP-101 stain in Raleigh Nprth Carolina? Thanks.
i want to protect new bulkhead doors but prefer the look of the UV grey color… can you recommend a stain? is the cape cod gray comparable to a natural gray?
Best to try some samples to see if you like the gray. Other option is clear. The clear will naturally gray over time but still seal and protect from water, snow, mold, etc.
Hi, I just applied this to my bamboo deck. how long does it take to fully cure and walk on? Also, how often should I reapply and do I have to strip it in the future or just clean and brighten and reapply? Thanks.
You should be able to walk on it anywhere from 4-24 hours under normal weather conditions but since it is bamboo, it may take longer to set up. The 100 Series is not designed for bamboo so not sure how long it will last. You can just clean and reapply when it starts to fade.
I am planning on staining my deck would like clear on older treated lumber, what would you recommend color wise? I live in NW Pa. Want to use TWP 100. Thanks
TWP 100 Series is not allowed in PA. Look at the TWP 1500 Series. Clear will not protect from UV graying. Use a tinted color. Honeytone is the lightest tint.
I have stripped and sanded my old deck which is not in very good condition (has a lot of grooves. Since I have sanded it do I need to wait for it to cure like new wood? Also, it was painted white. It was impossible for me to get paint out of hairline cracks. They don’t look bad now, but will they show up more after using TWP? I already cleaned part of the deck with bleach and soap. Will this impair absorption? Can I use Oxyclean on the remainder of the deck and just buy the brightner? My house is white with black shutters so I really like the natural grey color but I don’t want the solids in your grey color. If I use your clear how often will I need to recoat since I won’t have UV protection? My deck is 191 square foot which should be 2 gallons but your calculator shows three. Which is correct? I don’t see where shipping charges are estimated. I live in Tennessee. What would be the estimated shipping on 2 gallons? If I bought the 5 gallon to save money would it last until next time?
The paint will show under the TWP. Best to prep now with the Gemini Restore Kit if you want to use the TWP not bleach. If you use the clear it will gray naturally and you will need to redo every 2 years. 3 gallons if you do 2 coats would be normal. Shipping costs are at checkout once you enter a state and zip code.
I am considering TWP 100 for a 12-year-old heart redwood deck that is holding up well. I’ve used the Sikkens SRD 250 Natural the last two applications. Does the TWP 100 come in a Natural? What would be the most comparable color? Also, I assume I’ll have to strip, clean, brighten beforehand, correct? I live in Napa area of California. How many years can I expect the treatment to last? (I’m having the TWP 100 sent to a friend in Nevada.)
TWP 100 does not come in a Natural but the TWP 1500 does and that is allowed in CA while the 100 Series is not so you will need the 1500 Series. TWP needs to be reapplied every 2-3 years on average.

It has not fully cured. It will go away shortly.

If I do order the five-gallon, will it store well for a couple of years until the next application? Or should I just order the three gallons and plan on re-ordering when I need to re-apply?
It will probably not last the 2-3 years once opened.

Is the mildew on top of the stain or under it? You cannot stop mildew from growing on top of a stain or ay surface.

Yes you can do that but take inconsideration that you are also reducing the protection from UV graying.
Hello, We just had a 14X16 deck with 3′ railings built with pressure treated pine and I am interested in staining it with your TWP100 cedar tone stain. Is this the best choice for my never finished deck and if so how many gallons would I need to do a good job? I would also like to stain the substructure as most of the lower structure is visible. I live in Michigan but I think the 100 is OK to use here, right?
Also, Do you have a retailer in the Traverse City or Gaylord area of Michigan that sells it?
Thanks for any info you can provide.
Sincerely, Gary Bell
If possible I would like to use the same stain on both. Probably a semi transparent as close to the Penofin we have been using.
Any suggestions on a TWP product, and color and procedure to use of the penofin now on the IPE?
We live in Sammamish Wa, 15 miles East of Seattle. Is there no place in W. Wa to buy TWP? Thanks
You would want the TWP 116 Rustic. Use the Restore A Deck Stripper and than the Restore A Deck Brightener for prep. We are an online dealer and can ship there.

Peter B, not you cannot apply a third coat and you do not want TWP to gloss. It will be over applied and fail quicker. Need to remove the Sikkens.
