That is for the 1st coat. A second coat if applied with spread twice as far as the first coat. Our calculator will help:

Can I apply TWP 100 over the Cabot oil ( very weathered) and if so what prep needs to be done ? Do I need to sand the deck in addition to cleaning? The TWP cannot go over the Cabot. Best to prep by removing it with the Restore A Deck Stripper Kit:

Have not treated it since acquired. Should I sand?– that would take days with a handheld orbital as there are nails throughout holding it down so a surface sander would not work. Should I fill boards with a bond leveler like you sell on this site? That would require a color added and does the bond material reflect color just like wood or will it look blotchy? Do I need to further clean ( I washed it really good) ? Should I use TWP 100?
Wood filler does not work and will not stain to blend with TWP coatings. Do not use them if using TWP. The PermaFill is only for the Deck Revive. No need to sand. Clean and prep with the Gemini Restore Kit if still dirty. If not, go ahead and stain with the TWP 100 or 1500 Series.

TWP does not turn black like the SW Super Deck does. Strip and brighten for the prep with this:

Can we apply something over the original stain? We are in Vermont with harsh winters. The color should be in the same family but does not need to be exact. Which is the longest lasting product?
Hello, sorry but TWP cannot be applied over this. You will need to remove it down to the bare wood. Once removed, use the TWP 1500 for VT as the 100 is not allowed there.

What would last better? Deck is on the north side of my home. Most sun is June, July, Aug. I live in MN.
The Clear does not change/enhance the color and will not offer UV protection. Honeytone is the closest to a look that is wet look. Cedartone is slightly richer.

Sorry, but no it will not. You will have to strip off the gray if switching to a different color. Look at the Restore A Deck Stripper Kit.

Refurbished? As in new wood or just prepped? New wood needs to weather for 4-12 months and be prepped before applying the TWP. As for the stain, you would want the 100 series if allowed in your state. If not, you will need the 1500 Series.

Yes you would want the same product. Make sure the prep is done correctly. Coverage varies if you have railings, steps, etc. Please use our calculator to the right of this page to help determine amount needed.

Just make sure that the wood is clean and you should be okay to stain since it was done just a year ago. Using the Gemini Restore Kit is needed if it has been 2 years or more since last application.

Both Series work very well. The 1500 is not a better stain, but is as good.

TWP, cannot be applied over the Cabot stain. The Cabot needs to be removed first. Use the Restore A Deck Stain Stripper and pressure wash off the Cabot. Apply the Restore a Deck Wood brightener to neutralize. Once removed, you can use any color of the TWP.

Are you doing both sides? If so it should be 140 (length) x 12 (both sides) = 1680 sq. feet. For 2 coats of the TWP applied “wet on wet” you will need roughly 15-17. See this about application:
